The Freedmen Reparations Fund Trust has taken another historic step forward with the release of the Declaration of Land & Economic Rights for Freedmen—a bold, legally grounded affirmation that land, business, and economic growth tied to Freedmen history must remain under Freedmen control.
For over 150 years, Freedmen have faced the erosion of land ownership, the denial of economic justice, and the loss of opportunities promised but never delivered. This declaration directly challenges that legacy.
Why This Declaration Matters:
It secures the right of PMA Verified Freedmen to control land, commerce, and business operations in the former Confederate states—the very lands built by our ancestors.
It requires that all businesses created or funded by the Trust be rooted in the South and be 60% or more Freedmen-owned.
It protects against gentrification, forced relocation, and economic exploitation, ensuring that the Freedmen community retains power over its own future.
It enforces deed restrictions, ownership guidelines, and digital economic rules to preserve sovereignty for generations to come.
This is more than a document—it’s a foundation. One that future legal actions, land restorations, and business partnerships will be built upon.
